This leaf interests me. It's obvious, I spent nearly a week now showing you pictures of mostly this leaf. (And there's one more day's worth to go --) Today's series is a different perspective, though. It shows you the leaf's attachment to the branch. The wind blows, the leaf goes horizontal stretching away from the branch, as if trying with all its might to get away and fly free to parts unknown. But the branch isn't the one holding it back.
The leaf is holding itself back.

Same image, different crop for each. What's your favorite part?
For me, it's the bottom of the first image (also the right of the last image). There's some definition and some blur in the leaf edge that has an elegance and delicateness to it, with absolutely beautiful coloring. And second, of course, the geometry of the branch intersections in the second image.
