Are they the same? Not quite - I kept the camera still and gradually adjusted the focus. Best viewed as a flipbook :) Still looking for that feature on this platform...

I love the juxtaposition of clearly defined leaf veins with blurred out sunny bokeh. But add in the early morning quality of light here - soft indigo blues, warm mauvey-reds, and zing, I'm hooked.
Winter in Manhattan III
January must be the most creative month. We're all stuck indoors, sure. But having spent the last week of most Decembers thinking about the past year's progress, and what I want in the new year, January is a burst of excited energy.
January is full of:
Let's try this!
Let's learn this!
Let's make more art!
May your January is full of the same :)
This blog post counts as an example of all three :) I recently transitioned from Google's Blogger platform to Squarespace for my blog, primarily to keep everything on the same domain (charitykittler.com). This means learning not only Squarespace, but also Mailchimp (the distribution platform). After some tweaking, it's getting very close to the format I'd like.
Very excited to share new images with you in the coming days and weeks - I have hundreds from last month that I'm going to weed down to the few dozen I'll post here...
Onward!

Look forward to sharing more in the coming week!
