Let's Airport IV
Let's Airport III
I've been exploring motion in images for years, but let's be real: "motion" covers a lot of semantic ground. Camera gestures were my go-to at the beginning. We all remember that great purple cauliflower shot. Whole-body movement was a natural next step, twisting from the core instead of just my arm.
But there's a lot more to discover. Take these images, for example. Was the camera moving? No. Was I moving? No. But the plane taxi just seemed like a perfect opportunity to capture the lovely landing strip lights.
I love these lights.
Let's Airport II
I love the rainbow bokeh in these images, the unfocused points of light that make a twilight image feel festive and full of wonder. There are two extra special images I want to call out: The first image is actually two, layered on top of each other. The last image, as with much of my work, blurs the light. I'm so pleased that the blurs are completely straight. Trust me, it took a lot of wavy shots to get this one :)
Let's Airport!
From now on, I require every flight to cross the mountains and land at sunset.
